Mustangs Top Panthers
Blue Bell, Pa. – The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's basketball team hosted the Passaic County Community College Panthers on Saturday Jan. 28th.
The Mustangs started strong, running up a 15-3 opening lead. The team continued to build momentum by snatching rebounds, drawing fouls and shooting on target. But towards the end of the half the Panthers closed the gap, trailing the Mustangs 37-25 going into the locker room.
As the second half started the Mustangs looked to be on-point, scoring seven points in a row before letting the Panthers get on the board. At the 10:00 mark the Mustangs were ahead by 16 at 67-51. The Panthers kept up with the Mustangs but were unable to overcome them, serving the Mustangs up an 89-75 victory.
Top performers for the Mustangs were Darnell Clowney with 31 points and 12 rebounds, Shaquille Graham with 22 points and five assists and Rasahn Brinkley with 15 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks.
