Women's Soccer Loses to Sussex
Blue Bell, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women�s soccer team lost 1-5 to the Sussex County Community College Skylanders Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010.
The Skylanders, currently 6-1, losing only to nationally ranked Division 1 Harford, came onto the field to face the Mustangs with fire. Led by Liz Sim and Sofie Eff, the Skylanders posted two goals in the first half and three goals in the second to defeat the Mustangs 5-1.
The Mustangs� lone goal came from Malorie Waters, who was assisted by Sydnee Ryan, at 27:00. The goal made the score 2-1 at half time, keeping the Mustangs in the game. But the second half proved too much for the team, who was outshot 21-2.
The Mustangs are now 1-5-1 overall and 1-5-1 NJCAA RXIX Division III. Next the Mustangs will travel to Bergen County College on Thursday, Sept. 23. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
