Women's Soccer Earns Win over Bulldogs
Blue Bell, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women�s soccer team beat the Bergen County College Bulldogs 4-1 on Thursday, Sept. 23.
The game got off to a slow start for both teams, remaining scoreless until the 28th minute when Mustangs forward Sydnee Ryan knocked in a feed from Jeannine Mason.
The Mustangs headed into the second half riding high on their 1-0 lead. In a ten minute long blaze of shots, the Mustangs widened their lead to 4-0 with goals from Carla Sirak, Malorie Waters and Jeannine Mason.
The Bulldogs battled to break the Mustangs, pounding goal keeper Mary Grace Lux with 24 shots, but could only find the back of the net once. With less than a minute to go in the game, the Bulldogs finally got one in to bring the game to its 4-1 conclusion.
The Mustangs are now 2-5-1 overall and 2-3-0 NJCAA RXIX Division III. Next the Mustangs will travel to Gloucester County College on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
