Bio

Marquise Smith joins the coaching staff with over a decade of experience in basketball leadership, including roles in player development, team management, and youth mentorship. A proven mentor and motivator, Smith has a strong history of developing collegiate-level athletes and building competitive programs.

Most recently working as a personal basketball trainer, Smith has conducted individualized and group sessions that emphasize skill development and performance improvement. His coaching resume includes serving as Assistant Coach at the Community College of Philadelphia from 2019–2020, where he supported team operations, recruitment, and player development.

Previously, Smith was an integral part of Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter’s basketball success from 2013–2019, helping lead the team to a 2019 1A State Championship and three regular season titles. In addition, he contributed to national youth development as a USA Basketball coach from 2015–2019, mentoring young athletes under elite standards.
