Jace Winders was named Esports Coordinator in August of 2023. He has since expanded the program over the course of the 2023-2024 academic year.

 

Before coming to Montgomery County Community College, Winders attended and was involved with the esports program at the University of Iowa. At his alma mater, Winders served as a coach, roster manager, and coordinator of events for esports. He began his involvement with esports as a player for the League of Legends roster during the 2019-2020 season. Winders then moved to a coaching position for the team, where he led the 2023 League of Legends team to a NACE 3rd place overall finish.

 

Winders is a 2023 graduate of The University of Iowa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Marketing from the Tippie School of Business. He also earned a minor degree in Sports and Recreation Management.
