Mustangs Struggle But Still Get Win

Mustangs Struggle But Still Get Win

by Tyler DeGiacomo

The Mustangs got back to their winning ways with a 3-1 victory on the road against the Centurions of Bucks County Community College.

Jay Kluka struck out 15 and walked three batters as he went the full nine innings, picking up the complete game and the victory for the Mustangs.

The Centurions were able to scatter seven hits against Kluka, who never really got in any serious jams. The offense was unusually quiet for the Mustangs only recording three hits as team. But the squad did get on base via five walks and a few errors, and were able to muster across a few runs to support their pitcher.

Eric Lewandowski, who had one hit on the day, was able to cross the plate for two of the Mustangs' three runs.

The Mustangs record now sits at 15-7 (EPACC: 3-1). The Mustangs are home on Saturday to face Bucknell University (JV). Game times are tentatively set for noon and 3 pm.
