Mustangs Baseball: Comeback Win in Game 2

Blue Bell, PA-- The Mustangs came back in game two of the double header to defeat the Raritan Valley Community College Lions on Saturday, April 8th. With 14 total hits compared to the Lions 10, the Mustangs locked down their non-conference win at a final score of 11-8.

Early off, the Mustangs weren't messing around, leading 3-2 at the bottom of the second.

The Lions kept it close, putting up three runs in the top of the third, but the Mustangs did not falter. They tied it up by tacking on two more runs, both teams at a score of 5 runs.

Although the Lions were up 7-5, they could not keep the lead when the Mustangs scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth. From this point on, it was enough for the Mustangs to secure their game 2 victory.

Freshman Infielder, Justin Wieand #23 (Boyertown Area SR High School/ Life Sciences) contributed 2 runs and 3 RBI's, followed by Freshmen Catcher, Jonuer Nieves #16 (Spring-Ford High School/ Physical Ed. & Education) and Adam McKinlay #33 (Plymouth Whitemarsh/ Business Administration) who each contributed 2 runs and 2 RBI's as well.

The Mustangs next conference game will be home against the Spartans of Northampton County Community College at 3:30 p.m on Tuesday, April 8th.
