Paramus, NJ: The Mustangs were defeated by the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College 16-2 in the first game of the region XIX double header.
The Mustangs started off the first and second inning by scoring one run each inning. They lead through four innings until the Mustangs gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th. The Bulldogs offense was just too powerful scoring 5 in the 5th and 9 in the 6th.
Sophomore Dan Janoson (Roslyn, PA/Bishop McDevitt) led the Mustangs with two hits and an RBI in the effort. Nick Mikesic (Collegeville, PA/Perkiomen Valley) added a double and Jonuer Nieves (Royersford, PA/Spring-ford) contributed one hit and one RBI. The Mustangs had to utilize 6 pitchers.
The Mustangs currently have a conference record of 3-6 and 4-16 overall.
The Mustangs are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC).
