Several Mustangs Grab Baseball Postseason Awards

Of the 13 EPAC postseason awards, Montgomery grabbed 4 of them this season.

Head Coach Mike Fitzgerald received the EPAC Coach of the Year award, and for good reasons. In his first year as a head coach, Fitzgerald's team finished with a 4-20 record and no All-EPAC award winners. This season, Montgomery finished with a 14-14 record, despite only having 13 athletes on the roster. The team also qualified for NJCAA Region XIX playoffs and was one game away from winning a share of the EPAC title. They also managed to get three players onto the All-EPAC team.

Will Brownlowe is a Sophmore catcher from Wissahickon High School. Brownlowe leads the team in slugging percentage (.563) and batting average (.438). He has also only allowed 3 passed balls and 6 stolen bases in conference.

Logan Curley is a Freshman outfielder from Upper Perkiomen High School. Curley qualified for the All-EPAC team despite only playing 19 games. 17 runs and 14 RBIs in those 19 games is probably a good reason why he received that award. He also leads the team in on base percentage (.500) and slugging percentage in conference (.750).

Ron Fausnaught is a Freshman outfielder from Pottstown High School. In his 25 games played, Fausnaught scored 20 runs and got a hit 38 times. Fausnaught also came in to pitch a few games when the team needed him. When he did pitch, he ranked 12th in the country in batting average against (.111)

Congratulations to Coach Mike Fitzgerald, Will Brownlowe, Logan Curley and Ron Fausnaught! The Mustangs are currently gearing up for their playoff game against Lehigh Carbon Community College, which will take place at 11am on Saturday. The game will be held at Rowan College at Gloucester County, who will be Montgomery's next opponent if they defeat the Cougars.
