Baseball Falls to Cabrini's JV

After a loss against the now #3 team in the country, Northampton Community College, on Tuesday, the Mustangs were ready to get back on their winning streak. NCAA Division III Cabrini brought their JV team down to Blue Bell, not just to get a game in, but also to take a look at the talent the Mustangs had to offer.

The score was tied headed into the third, thanks to an Elias Gehman (FR, Christopher Dock) RBI. The Cavs realized that they would have to take the Mustangs seriously in order to get a win in this game, so they turned up the heat and batted in 5 more runs.

The Mustangs couldn't quite keep up with the Cavs for the majority of the game, which left the score at 8-2 heading into the seventh. Finally, the Mustangs found a bit of an offense, putting up 4 runs in two innings. However, Cabrini was also scoring and the game finished with a final score of 14-6.

Nate O'Donnell (FR, North Penn) came into his own in this game, going 3-4 and scoring three runs. O'Donnell was a HR away from hitting for the cycle.

The Mustangs move to 7-4 on the season and begin their first multiple game losing streak. They'll attempt to end that streak on Saturday during a doubleheader against Ocean County College in Blue Bell.
