Mustangs Offense Stalls vs Mighty Oaks in 7-1 Defeat

Salem Community College built their lead a few runs at a time in a 7-1 victory over Montgomery County Community College. The Mustangs opened the scoring in the first after Adam Rodriguez singled,  scoring one run. Demetrius DeRamus singled which helped Salem Community College tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. 

Salem Community College captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the fourth inning after Matt Murphy doubled, and Jared Vandersteur hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. 

Ryan Silnik earned the win for Salem Community College. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over eight innings, striking out twelve and walking two. Evan Wineburg took the loss for Montgomery County. The righty went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking none. 

Adam Rodriguez went 1-for-4 at the plate as the cleanup hitter led the team with one run batted in. Liam O'Leary, Rodriguez, and Chris Tomlinson each collected one hit for Montgomery County. 

The Mustangs are back in action on Saturday when they take on Delaware County.
