Mustangs Drop Season Series to Mighty Oaks
Montco Mustangs Fall To Salem Community College Despite Strong Effort From Petyton Borchelt

Petyton Borchelt collected three hits in four at bats, but Montco Mustangs lost to Salem Community College 20-7 on Friday at Montgomery County Community College. Borchelt tripled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.
Montco Mustangs lost despite out-hitting Salem Community College 13 to 11. Nico Gomez-Vera and Borchelt each collected three hits for Montco Mustangs.
Salem Community College jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Demetrius DeRamus homered to center field, scoring three runs, and one run scored on a balk.
An error, and a single by Matt Murphy helped Salem Community College extend their early lead in the second.
Salem Community College scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Cole Dawson hit a solo home run to left field, an error scored one run, Tyler Hacker was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Chris Kelly singled, scoring one run, and Tony Sanchez drew a walk, scoring one run.
Salem Community College scored six runs on four hits in the top of the fifth inning. Angel Velez singled, scoring one run, Kelly homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Dawson singled, scoring two runs.
Jon Gambone earned the win for Salem Community College. The starting pitcher surrendered 13 hits and seven runs (five earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Carver Perrone took the loss for Montco Mustangs. The right-handed pitcher went three and one-third innings, surrendering 10 runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking one.

Montco Mustangs beat Salem Community College 9-5 on Saturday at Salem Community College.
Montco Mustangs got on the board in the top of the second inning after Salem Community College committed an error, and Brenden O'Brien hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Salem Community College scored on a wild pitch, which helped Salem Community College tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
Montco Mustangs made the score 6-2 in the top of the fifth after an error scored one run, Petyton Borchelt singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
Montco Mustangs scored three runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to left field by Brett Minnich.
Korbin Wale stepped on the bump first for Montco Mustangs. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking six. #24 began the game for Salem Community College. The hurler gave up 10 hits and nine runs (five earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking three. Mitchell Barajas collected the save.

Montco Mustangs Go Down On Final Play Against Salem Community College

A walk-off left Montco Mustangs on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Salem Community College on Saturday at Salem Community College. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when #18 singled, scoring one run.
Montco Mustangs lost despite out-hitting Salem Community College six to five. Josh Camacho, Korbin Wale, John Kurtz, Jack Tarloski, Brett Minnich, and Petyton Borchelt each collected one hit for Montco Mustangs.
Montco Mustangs opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to three doubles. Montco Mustangs first got on the board when Wale doubled, scoring one run.
Salem Community College scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to right field by Yenuelle Rodriguez.
Salem Community College tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a ground out by Tim Bowlby, and a tag up by Will Jones.
#21 earned the win for Salem Community College. The reliever surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking none. Chris Tomlinson took the loss for Montco Mustangs. The right-handed pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering one run (zero earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking two. Lucas Shaffert led things off on the bump for Montco Mustangs. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Pat Seitzinger started the game for Salem Community College. The starter surrendered six hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking two.
Wale, Kurtz, and Tarloski each drove in one run for Montco Mustangs.
