Mustangs Fall to Bulldogs

Lancaster, Pa. – The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men’s basketball team fell to the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Bulldogs 77-86 Monday evening.

The Mustangs got off to a sluggish start and wound up trailing the Bulldogs 31-45 at half time. The Mustangs spent the majority of the second half trying to recover from the deficit and finally got within one point of the Bulldogs, at 70-71 with 3:00 left in the game. But the Bulldogs did not give up their lead, ultimately overcoming the Mustangs by 9 points with a final score of 77-86.

Top scorers for the Mustangs were Tabias Thompson (PET Charter) with 22 points, Dominic Oliver (Cheltenham) with 19 points, Kenny Walton (Germantown) with 14 and Adam Jones (North Penn) with 13.

The Mustangs are now 17-5 overall and 15-2 in the EPCC. Next, the team will travel to Lehigh Carbon Community College to take on the Cougars on Wednesday Jan. 27, 2010.
