Mustangs Fall to Colonials

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs fell to the Community College of Philadelphia Colonials on Wednesday evening.

The game started off rough for the Mustangs as the Colonials won the opening tip-off and scored a layup in the first three seconds of play. Steadily the Colonials began to pull away from the Mustangs with heavy leads of 12 points, then 21, then 25 at the close of the half.

Down 43-68 at the start of the second half, the Mustangs tried to make a comeback but the Colonials continued to pound the net. The Colonials’ lead ballooned to over 50 points towards the end of the game. The final buzzer sounded to a Philadelphia victory of 129-82.

High scorers of the evening for the Mustangs were Robert Fisher (Germantown) with 19 points, Dominic Oliver (Cheltenham) with 12 points and Adam Jones (North Penn) with 10.

The Mustangs finish their regular season with a record of 18-7 overall and 16-4 in the EPCC. The Mustangs have qualified for post-season play. The playoff schedule and information can be found on the EPCC website.
