The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's basketball team trounced the Bucks County Community College Centurions 73-49.
Despite a slow start, the Mustangs took control of the game from the opening tip and built a 12 point lead by halftime (38-26).
To begin the second half, the Mustangs continued their dominance with a 17-2 run to extend the lead to 27 points (55-28). Defense was a key factor, as they forced eight Centurion turnovers in the first 4 minutes of the half to essentially put the game out of reach.
Jah'lil Williams led the way for the Mustangs with 14 points and 7 assists; plus recorded 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Shaquille Graham (14 points, 5 rebounds) and Tyreek Magruder (12 points) contributed with double-digit scoring, while Dimitri Burton and Cameron Wallace combined for 13 rebounds (7 and 6 respectively).
"The guys did a good job of regrouping at halftime after a sluggish first half," said Mustang Head Coach Denny Surovec on his team's 14th victory of the season.
