Game Recap: Colonials Hand Mustangs 87-112 Loss

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's basketball team lost 87-112 to the Community College of Philadelphia Colonials Thursday evening.

The Colonials dominated the first half of the game, leading 64-41 by half time. The Mustangs came back to the second half of the game with a stronger showing, closing the scoring differential to 46-48. However, the effort was not enough to make up the 23 point gap. Ultimately the Mustangs walked away, giving the Colonials the 112-87 victory.

Alex Brown led the Mustangs with 14 points, four assists and three steals. Following him was Nick Demeno with 13 points. Dexter Shy and Chris Uhrich each notched 10 points, with Uhrich also leading the team in rebounds with seven and Shy leading the team in assists with five. Ron Melton also added nine points and six rebounds in the effort.

The Mustangs will return in 2014 on January 9th, with an away game at Manor College.
