Men's Basketball Celebrates Sophomore Night

Men's Basketball Celebrates Sophomore Night

This evening on Thursday, Feb. 16th, Montgomery County Community College was pleased to hold their Sophomore Night. It was a very special occasion as the athletic program continues to grow, making initiatives to recruit committed student athletes every year. Prior to the start of the men's and women's games, student athletes were recognized for their participation of 2 years in the intercollegiate basketball program. They were escorted to half court and congratulated after being individually announced. The Athletic Department is proud and thankful to have had the dedication and support from these student athletes, as they have represented and supported our athletic program immensely.

For tonight's event, one sophomore was announced. Sophomore Brendan Watton #31 is a versatile player, as he plays guard and forward for the Men's Mustangs team. His hometown is Conshohocken and he is a high school graduate from Plymouth Whitemarsh. This season he has started in 20 overall games, scoring a total of 174 points. He also had 70 total rebounds and 38 steals for the 2017 season. During his 2 years at Montco, his endeavors have been towards obtaining his Associates in Business.
