Men's Basketball Can't Finish Against Harrisburg

Men's Basketball returned home on Tuesday after completing a 5-0 road stretch. With only one conference loss, the Mustangs were feeling confident heading into a huge match against the undefeated Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks. This game would certainly have major EPAC implications.

The game was very close early on, with both teams fighting over a small lead. Harrisburg pulled away at half, but only by two points. The first ten minutes of the second half were just as exciting as the first half, with both teams exchanging leads.

However, with just under ten minutes remaining in the game, the young Mustang team seemed to be unable to handle the pressure of such a close game. Turnovers were Montgomery's downfall, as they committed 19 in the game, five of which came in five straight possessions in the second half. More mistakes led to the small Hawks lead to turn into a much larger one down the stretch. When it was all said and done, Montgomery had lost their second game of the season, 81-65.

Jordan Wright had 17 points in the loss. Wright continues to impress while coming off of the bench. Brandon Hooks also contributed 13 points.

Next, the Mustangs will take on Gwynedd Mercy University's JV team at home.
