Phantoms Top Mustangs 3-2

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs fell to the Delaware County Community College Phantoms in their second match up of the season.

The Mustangs had beaten the Phantoms 3-1 previously and were looking for a repeat performance going into Wednesday’s competition. But the Phantoms came on strong scoring first and playing a tight defensive game.

Twice during the play the Phantoms pushed ahead and each time the Mustangs answered back. But late in the second half the Phantoms scored their third and final goal from which the Mustangs were unable to recover. This 2-3 loss brings the Mustangs’ record to 8-3.
