Men's Soccer Beat by Middlesex
Middlesex, N.J. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men’s soccer team lost 1-4 to the Colts of Middlesex County College on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010.
The Colts started off strong, scoring two in the first half and preventing the Mustangs from getting on the board.
Trailing 0-2 at half, the Mustangs pushed harder but the Colts refused to yield. In the 62nd minute, the Colts scored their third goal to lead the game 3-0.
Jay Natale led a Mustangs rally late in the second half with a breakaway to goal. Natale was fouled and scored off the resulting penalty kick to put the Mustangs on the board but the effort was not enough to ignite the team. In the last minutes of the game, the Mustangs were unable to recover from the deficit and the Colts were able to put another one away to secure a 4-1 victory.
Next the Mustangs will host Passaic County Community College on Saturday, Sept. 11. Game time is 12:00 p.m.
