SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. - Two goals by David Massanga and another strong goalkeeping performance by Andrew Toro earned the Mustangs Men's Soccer team their third straight win --
a 5-0 shutout at Lehigh Carbon Community College on Tuesday.
Massanga netted the only tally of the first half as the teams waged a tight battle, much like their earlier season meeting won by the Mustangs, 2-1.
But the Mustangs found their offensive groove in the second half, getting goals from captain Jeremiah Garcia and Wilson Gonzalez, as well as Massanga.
The Cougars fired 28 shots in and around the net area -- including a penalty kick awarded when second-year defenseman Sebastian DeRosa was called for an intentional handball in the box -- but failed to get one past Toro. DeRosa, meanwhile, received a red card.
The Mustangs Men's Soccer team improved to 5-1-1 overall and is back on the road Thursday with a match at Harrisburg Area Community College.
