Game Recap: Hawks Edge Mustangs, 2-1

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Wilson Gonzalez scored the lone goal as the Mustangs Men's Soccer team saw its three-game win streak snapped in a rainy 2-1 loss on the road at Harrisburg Area Community College on Thursday.

The Hawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half and held on for the win despite consistent pressure from the Mustangs.

"We had 10 bad minutes and it cost us," Head Men's Soccer Coach Obed Arango said. "The lesson learned is not to relax after a stretch of good solid games."

The Mustangs had posted three straight victories after playing to a 1-1 draw against the Hawks on home turf. In that game, the Hawks' lone goal came courtesy of a penalty kick.

Mustangs goalkeeper Andrew Toro continued his strong play in this contest as well, but that 10-minute breakdown cost the team in the end.

Meanwhile, Gonzalez's tally was his fifth in the last three games.

The 5-2-1 Mustangs will look to rebound as they return to action Tuesday afternoon with a match at Northampton Community College.
