Three Mustang teams took on Bucks County Community College on Tuesday and men's soccer was included in that. Typically, Bucks has a potent men's soccer team and, with their record coming into the game, this year seemed no different.
The Centurions struck quickly and early, putting two goals in the net in only 17 minutes. Then, in the 30th minute, the Centurions converted a penalty kick to bring the score to 3-0 at half.
The second half was a lot less explosive. Neither team found as many opportunities as the first half and neither team converted on their opportunities, leading to a 3-0 loss for the Mustangs.
Despite the 3-0 loss, goalkeeper Zachary Kovatch (FR, Boyertown) had a decent game, recording 7 saves against 10 shots on goal. Zakariyae Lahjouji (FR, North Penn) had arguably the best offensive game for the mustangs, recording 3 shots and 2 shots on goal.
The Mustangs will get a rematch against Lehigh Carbon Community College on Saturday, their next chance to rebound from this loss.
