Men's Soccer Finishes Season

Men's Soccer Finishes Season

Men's soccer received the #10 seed this week during the NJCAA RegionXIX Playoff seeding process. This meant that they would have to take on the #7 seeded Union County College on Saturday in a night game under the lights.

The Mustangs were oriented straight on their goal: to win the first playoff game and continue that momentum through the tournament. However, the Owls had a goal of their own and that was to stop the Mustang push in its tracks.

The Owls struck first four minutes into the game. The Mustangs didn't give up however. The defense, led by sophomore captain Conner Kristoff (Upper Moreland) and goalkeeper Zachary Kovatch (FR, Boyertown) made sure that nothing else got through.

Unfortunately for the Mustangs, their offense was nowhere to be found in this game. They would finish with only one shot on goal for the game. The 1-0 loss officially eliminated the Mustangs from the playoffs and ended their season.

For three sophomores, this game was the last of their Mustang career. Elias Gehman (Dock Mennonite), Conner Kristoff and Edward Mincarelli (Norristown) have dedicated so much to this program. We are grateful for all that they've done and look forward to what the team will accomplish next season.
