Mustangs Men's Soccer races into 2022, with a blowout win against Penn State Scranton!

1st Half: 5-0

Your Mustangs dominated the first half of the competition scoring five unanswered goals while allowing zero shots by Penn State Scranton! Joseph Mwera kicked off the rally scoring an unassisted goal at 29 minutes! However, the Mustangs didn't stop there. We scored two more goals in the next two minutes! The first by Chinonyerem Ahukanna, and the second by Uimin Lee! With five minutes remaining in the first half Joseph Mwera continued the scoring parade after a tremendous assist by Samir Razi! While Felipe Silva followed close behind with the Mustang's fifth goal at 43 minutes.

2nd Half: 7-1

Joseph Mwera wasted no time to leave his mark on the 2022-2023 season by scoring the first hat trick of the season in the 62nd minute! While the Nittany Lions finally answered back with a goal of their own, their celebration was short lived as Chinonyerem Ahukanna scored his second goal of the day to close the chapter on Penn State Scranton!

Statistical Standouts:

The Mustangs turned the soccer pitch into a driving range launching a total of 27 shots with 16 being on goal!

Joseph Romano and the rest of the Mustangs defense stood as a steadfast wall only allowing 7 shots with 5 on goal! While Romero saved 4 of the 5 shots that came his way!

Isaiah Fox and Johnson John narrowly missed extending the Mustang's lead as their shots were barely blocked by the Nittany Lions defenders.
