Game Recap: Women's Basketball Drops One to Spartans

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs were handed a 38-68 loss Tuesday night.

The team traveled to Northampton Community College to take on the Spartans for the first of two meet ups this season.

The two teams battled closely for the first ten minutes of the game, but slowly the Spartans began pulling away. The Mustangs found themselves down 19-41 at half time and went into the second half hopeful to cut the deficit. The Mustangs fared much better the second half, cutting the scoring differential down from 22 points to only eight. However, the effort was not enough to stage a comeback.

Freshman forward Mallory Mugnier led the Mustangs with 12 points, followed by Dayna McCrewell and Ashley Waters, who each notched seven points.
