Game Recap: Mustangs Lose to Hawks in OT

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women's basketball team suffered a tough overtime loss to the Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks Thursday.

At half time the Mustangs were up by eight points but could not maintain the lead. By the end of regulation the teams were tied up at 62-62. The game went into overtime where crucial sophomore players Dayna McCrewell and Amelia Stockman fouled out. The Mustangs couldn't keep up after that ending up with a 65-74 loss.

Freshman Mallory Mugnier led the charge for the Mustangs with a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds, and an additional seven blocks and three steals. McCrewell notched ten points and nine rebounds while Francesca Monterosso earned nine points and six rebounds.

The Mustangs have one home game and three away games remaining in regular season play. Tuesday night will be the Mustangs' final home game of the year. Sophomores will be honored and the team will be raising money for its annual "Think Pink" breast cancer awareness drive.
