Game Recap: Mustangs Defeated by Spartans

Bryanna Lacey led the Mustangs with 14 points as the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women's basketball team was defeated 39-92 by the Spartans of Northampton County College Tuesday.

The Spartans jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The Mustangs tried to keep up but faced a 22-46 deficit at halftime. In the second half the Mustangs could not overcome the gap, as the Spartans cruised to the 92-39 victory.

In the effort, Angelina Sirak added 12 points and teammate Chloe Long added another 5 points as the Mustangs move to 0-3 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference.

The Mustangs, who are now 1-3 overall, will play at home on Thursday, November 21 against Penn State Lehigh. Tip-off is at 5:00pm. The Mustangs are requesting spectators to bring canned goods to the game for their annual Hoops for Hunger event.
