Mustangs Fall on the Road to Middlesex 66-61

The Montco Mustangs Women's Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 2-1 in a close matchup at Middlesex County College. The final score was 66-61.

The Mustangs, matched up against Division 2 Middlesex, fought hard until the very end as they looked to stay undefeated on the season but came up just short. Middlesex got off to an early lead, but the Mustangs did not back down and kept the game within reach, entering halftime with just a one-point deficit. Down 8 points with just over 3 minutes remaining in the contest, the Mustangs were able to lock up the defensive end of the floor but were unable to cut the lead down and ultimately suffered the loss.

Despite the loss, Koumba Samassa stuffed the stat sheet with 32 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 steals in the contest. Ti'eisha Walker fought on the defensive end until the very end, finishing with 9 points, 7 assists, and 7 steals. Tyanna Wall poured in 10 points and 5 rebounds, adding a block and a steal in the matchup.
