Mustangs Top Roadrunners 2-0

The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs strolled past the Gloucester County Community College Roadrunners in Tuesday’s NJCAA Region XIX match up.

The Mustangs posted on the scoreboard early as the team’s leading scorer freshman "Jeannine Mason" (Methacton) finished a cross ball from freshman "Katie Miller" (Plymouth Whitemarsh) in the 5th minute of the game. The Mustangs continued their offensive press and score again in the 29th minute when freshman "Carla Sirak" (Ewing) put the ball in the back of the net from 15 yards out.

The Mustangs controlled the ball for the majority of the play pounding the Roadrunners defense but the Roadrunners goal keeper held off 16 shots to keep the final score at 2-0. This conference win clinches the third seed for the Mustangs in the NJCAA DIII Region XIX playoffs.
