Mustangs Fall to Titans
Blue Bell, Pa. - The County College of Morris Titans defeated the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs 2-1 on Oct. 18, 2010.
The first half belonged to the Titans of the County College of Morris but the second half was dominated by the Mustangs. Kellie Funk scored twice for the Titans in the first half, at 26:21 and 41:18. Both goals were breakaway 1-v-1 efforts against Mustangs goalie Katelyn Martin.
In the second half Jeannine Mason broke the Titans shut out with a goal from 18 yards out at 69:33. Down only by one, the Mustangs pressed the Titans' goal with seven shots, including two that hit the crossbar, but the team was unable to tie it up. Time ran out to a score of 2-1 in favor of the Titans.
Martin notched 12 saves in the defeat.
