Women's Soccer Falls to Manor
Jenkintown, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College women's soccer team traveled to Manor College Thursday for an NJCAA DIII Region 19 contest and left with a 0-2 loss.
The Bluejays of Manor College scored first 38 minutes into play, sending the Mustangs into the second half down by one goal. The Mustangs responded by stepping onto the field with high intensity at the start of the second half. The team garnered a number of good offensive chances, including a drilling shot that struck the right goal post. However, the Mustangs were unable to tie up the game.
At the 70-minute mark, the Bluejays were able to get behind the Mustangs defense to knock in their second goal of the evening.
In the loss, goal keepers Madeline McPhee and Liz Keegan produced standout performances in the net. In addition, Alex Gregory played tough for the full ninety minutes.
