Game Recap: Women's Soccer Loses to Ocean

The Mustangs women's soccer team lost 0-5 to the nationally ranked Vikings of Ocean County College Friday.

The number 1 ranked team in the country showed their prowess early on in the game, scoring just two minutes into play. However the Mustangs fought back and held the Vikings to just a 1-0 lead for the remainder of the first half.

In the second half however, the Mustangs started to crumble due to injuries and fatigue. The Vikings were able to rack up four more goals to total a 5-0 victory.

Head Coach Tom Haney was proud of his team's effort. "We had a bit of trouble with injured, worn bodies from the previous day's double overtime game. I was impressed at how our reserve players did a fantastic job stepping up and playing solidly against a great team."
