Four Volleyball Players Earn Top Honors

The Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) and Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recognized four Mustangs volleyball players with All Team honors.

Second year sophomore Nikki Reichert was named to the EPAC All Conference First Team and the NJCAA All Region XIX Second Team. Reichert is a native of Collegeville, Pa. and played high school volleyball for Christopher Dock Mennonite. Last year she played opposite for the Region XIX Championship Mustangs team. This year, in her new role as starting setter, Reichert dished out 411 assists and is 5th in the nation for service aces, with a total of 86. In addition, she is currently ranked 4th in the nation for service aces per set, with an average of 1.19 aces/set. 

Freshman outside hitter Liz Herezi was named to the EPAC All Conference Second Team and the NJCAA All Region XIX First Team. She is a solid all-around player, earning 155 kills on offense and 89 digs on defense this season. A native of Conshohocken, Pa., Herezi played high school volleyball at Academy of Palumbo in Philadelphia, Pa. She is currently a General Studies major at the College.

Second year sophomore Briana Rodriguez, of Philadelphia, Pa., was named to the EPAC All Conference Second Team as well. Rodriguez was injured midseason, but earned 104 points and 63 kills in just 11 matches. She played middle this year and on last year's Region XIX Championship team. Rodriguez attended Cardinal Dougherty High School and is currently majoring in General Studies.

Freshman opposite Kendall Gazzo was named to the NJCAA All Region XIX Second team. Gazzo came to the Mustangs this season from Upper Merion High School. Adding height and new talent to the squad, she has been instrumental as an opposite on the team. Gazzo tallied 133 kills, 58 aces, 37 assists and 38 blocks this season, making her a key contributor to the Mustangs' success. She currently resides in Blue Bell, Pa. and is a General Studies major at the College.
