Volleyball Splits Opening Double Header

Volleyball traveled to Bucks County Community College on Saturday for tri-match. Due to the postoponement of their match against Manor College, this match was the season opener for the Mustangs.

The players seemed nervous against last season's EPAC conference champion Harrisburg Area Community College in match number one. The Mustangs played pretty closely with the Hawks, almost taking the second set, but ultimately lost 3-0.

Brianna Clemer (FR, Susquehana Valley) stood out in the first match, grabbing 20 assists.

In the second match, the Mustangs faced a Bucks County Community College team that they were now warmed up and ready for. The Mustangs took a close first set and dropped the second set.

With the score tied at 1-1, the Mustangs knew the pressure was on them to slow the Centurion momentum. They fought hard and took a very competitive third set 25-21. With the momentum back on their side of the court, the Mustangs attacked and ultimately won the match 3-1.

Miljana Vukoslavovic (SO, Serbia), team captain and an EPAC second-team all conference player last season, took over this match. Vukoslavovic led the mustangs in kills (14), kill percentage (.714), and service aces (5). She also recorded 18 digs.

The Mustangs will look to build off of their win when they take on Ocean County College on Tuesday.
