DI Monroe Too Strong for Volleyball

In a special matchup, volleyball took to the HSC Main Gym on Wednesday for a matchup against the NJCAA Division I Monroe College Mustangs. Monroe was making a trip through Pennsylvania and had already played Harrisburg. Seeing how well the Mustangs were doing during the regular season, they believed MCCC would be a good oponent to add to the trip. Thus, the Mustangs vs. Mustang Wednesday night matchup was put on the schedule.

Monroe quickly showed why they're an NJCAA Division I team and the Mustangs are not. They dominated the match, grabbing A 3-0 win and only losing 26 total points. The experience was great for the Mustangs, some of which were looking to transfer to higher level schools. Many mustangs got playing time as well, which is even more valuable agains a team with Monroe's caliber.

The Mustangs will finish their regular season in a tri-match against Valley Forge Military College and Atlantic Cape Community College on Saturday.
