In a decisive victory, Montgomery County Community College's men's soccer team improved to 2-0 on the year with an 8-2 win over EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College.
The Mustangs started off strong, with sophomore Ben Lare scoring just 11 minutes into the game, assisted by Conner Budniak. Lare then turned provider, assisting Budniak for his first goal of the season, putting the Mustangs up 2-0. The offensive onslaught continued, with Budniak assisting teammates Len Versteeg and Byron Gonzalez for their first goals of the season. Montgomery took a commanding 5-0 lead into halftime after Vincent Riccobono scored off an assist from Daniel Glasscock.
The Mustangs did not let up in the second half, scoring 5 minutes in with Chris Simmons recording his second goal of the season to make it 6-0. Lehigh Carbon managed to score 15 minutes into the second half, but Montgomery quickly responded with a goal from sophomore Maxence Prunier in the 68th minute. The scoring was capped off by Leo Bell, assisted by Felix Sander.
