Mustangs take down Delaware County 4-0 in Home Opener!

In a dominant performance, Montgomery County Community College's men's soccer team secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Delaware County Community College to maintain their undefeated streak at 3-0-1.

The match started off slow offensively, but Chris Simmons ignited the Mustangs' attack by intercepting a pass back to the goalkeeper and coolly slotting the ball into the net to give his team a 1-0 lead. The Mustangs continued to exert their control over the game, dictating the pace and gradually wearing down the Phantoms.

The second half saw the Mustangs further solidify their lead as Leo Bell  found the back post, extending their advantage to 2-0 just 6 minutes into the half. Tensae Tedesse then showcased his playmaking skills by delivering a pinpoint pass to Chris Simmons, who showcased fancy footwork to navigate around the goalkeeper and net his second goal of the day.

Felix Sander sealed the deal for the Mustangs in the 89th minute, courtesy of an assist from Joey Vera. Throughout the game, the Mustangs maintained possession and displayed a strong defensive performance on the backline, frustrating the Phantoms' offensive efforts.

Goalkeeper Matthew Strainz played a crucial role in securing the shutout victory, making 3 key saves in the victory.
